Samuel Schmidt

Corporate Law

Samuel Schmidt has extensive experience in private equity (having advised on more than 60 funding rounds) and in acquisitions/divestitures. He also advises clients regarding all their corporate issues: company establishment and dissolution, governance issues, restructuring, capital increases and reductions, share buybacks, mergers, partial contribution of assets, business transfers, and joint ventures. He also has expertise in litigation (litigation between shareholders, use of asset and liability guarantees, commercial litigation) and real estate.

Before founding Menlo Avocats, Samuel was partner at UGGC Avocats. Samuel Schmidt regularly publishes legal articles and furnishes training courses for legal publishers (Dalloz, LexisNexis, EFE) as well as for clients (“Joint venture: choosing the right legal form”, “Mastering your capital increases”, “Writing your shareholders’ agreement”, “Sales of goodwill and asset transfers”, “Holding companies: legal and tax issues”).

Son of an entrepreneur, Samuel likes working with entrepreneurs and is passionate about digital issues and the new economy. He practices mountain trail running and enjoys playing golf with his family.
